Organizing your ideas: What is your stategy?

I came across this photo and I thought, this is well be a great question for the group.

Seeing that we already know that inspiration is everywhere, how do you organize all your ideas from the things you see in magazines, blogs, scrapbook idea books to use them later?
with all the money we spend on magazines and idea books to give us inspiration, how do you store and use the info you get out of them?
Post in the comment box you ideas

all my idea books are either by my nightstand or in my closet, and I always have the most current one on a book holder on my computer desk, I live on the internet when I have it, lol, so everytime I get on the computer I see the idea book and most of the time, if I'm hunting for ideas,, its always a few feet away

I purge a LOT. I only keep the mags that have more than a few pieces of info in them. When I find a mag that only has one or two good things in it, i rip it out *gasp* lol, and put it in a three ring binder. What ever is most current stays in plain sight so I can look at it...good post!

i have all the books in small bookcase and the mags on a shelf in my built in storage closet, in my creative space.
i have ripped some pages from oldr mags. they are stored in a folder. some cut outs, i have taped or glued inside a composition book. that works good.

other than that. i would love to get a better system.

Wow.. how neat is that..!!

I have to say, I do what Adrienne does, I stash the old ones in a big binder and keep the current ones on my scrap table (organized by date.) :)

I have to admit I never do, and when I want something, it's pretty frustrating that I cannot find it! I usually have to go to the magz websites and try to do a search, and then I go back to my mag and look for it afterwards.
It was kindda funny that today I saw this lady with a RAD top on. I thought that WAS inspiring, but I felt it would be WEIRD to go ask her if I could take a PICTURE of her top for inspiration ;)

I started a book from the dollar store. Its a basic lined paper book but I cut out everything that I find to be cool and I paste it in there...its almost time for another one. Perfect for inspiration when I am running short!

I keep all my latest magazines close for ready inspiration. I put things I find from the internet or other magazines (not scrap) in a notebook. Sometimes I scan them and make them smaller so I can fit things on a page easily with comments or thoughts.

The mag comes...I look through it then I take a closer look. If nothing jumps out at me, it goes in a holder, once the holder is full they get given to friends or the local seniors gruup for inspiration. That note book in the post is out rageous!!! I would love to own something like that!
