Love Green

Green is one of my happy colors. It makes me think of spring, fresh smells, early morning sunrise. I just love green!!! Here is a LO of DD playing in the dirt. The main PP is Stemma, as well as the journal card. And my all time favorite KI mini alpha soup!!! I even pulled out the sewing machine for this one (that was fun)

Yeah Green!

Okay so I have to confess I haven't been here for awhile. I didn't even realize we switched colors! I was waiting for the color change but then got caught up with Life.
So I too love green. I don't have many clothes in that color but the pieces I do have I love. I like wearing green eye shadow along with it. I was at the mall the other day and saw an entire store with MAC make up. I have never used that make up but have heard a lot about it. I was over whelmed with the selection of colors. But with little ones in tow I didn't spend much time in there.

*Note to self leave boys at home next trip to the mall!

So here is my layout with green.

What wonderful layouts so far. Can't wait to see more.

you got the greenlight*

green is so refreshing, and it really caught my eye when matched with black and white, like in the stemma paper used in the layout above.

when i first saw this paper, i knew i wanted to use it for a very special photo. a pretty photo, to go with the pretty paper, i thought. i also knew i wanted to use white cardstock, white type and a black and white photo.

later, i picked up some green bling, and a pack of black and white jumbo expoxy brads. the perfect compliments.

the layout itself had been in my head for weeks! it just so happened that green was the color of choice at the IW blog, that i decided to bring this layout to life. so last night i got to cracking, and here it is, just like i wanted it to be! here are a few other shots.

Get your Camera and Go

First, if you haven't seen Adrienne's and Ronalyn's layouts below, you need to check those out, just awesome

Okay back to my post

Today is July 09, 2007 at now we are well into the first month of the second part of the year, my question is, Where are you now?

When is the last time you did a layout that just displayed you life right now?

No elaborate photos, no crazy design, just a checkin sheet on you,, NOW.

Are you happy, are things going okay, are things not working out, what's going on with you.

Well, I'm working on mine right now, self portrait and all, why?

because it begins with me, every scrapbook, every note, every post and then everyone else.

Next topic,, PHOTOS, I hope you guys have been taking some beautiful photos since the summer has began, I just went around my apartment getting some ones with some green it, working on my angles, yada, yada, yada, lol

and tomorrow I will check in with the progress of my layout, maybe some journalling, you never know

Think Green.....

Can you believe I scrapped? And this is not my only LO! LOL. I had fun!! Let's all give Toya a nice big pat on the back for coming up with a great idea!

I promise, I can scrap everyday for the rest of my life and never have to buy any supplies. Seriously. I went waaaaaaaaaayyy back with some KI paper, Scenic Route, and some A2Z. I used MM velvet stickers, HS Frames, mailbox stickers, and ghost letters, and 7 Gypsies stickers. I even tried a little machine stitching, which was NOT easy on all that plastic....and don't worry, I did NOT use my good machine lol. My mom made me promise not to sew paper with it! Tee hee!

And a little closeup. As I said, my machine did NOT like the layers of plastic lol. My thread kept breaking lol.

Alright guys, let's get scrapping!!!!!!
Toodles!

Wear It.

Matching dresses from the children's section at Old Navy! Green, it's my girl's favorite color! I can't even begin to count how many shades of green are in her closet!

GREEN DEFINED

Green is the color of nature.

It symbolizes growth, harmony, freshness, and fertility. Green has strong emotional correspondence with safety. Dark green is also commonly associated with money.

Green has great healing power. It is the most restful color for the human eye; it can improve vision.
Green suggests stability and endurance. Sometimes green denotes lack of experience; for example, a 'greenhorn' is a novice. In heraldry, green indicates growth and hope.

Green, as opposed to red, means safety; it is the color of free passage in road traffic.

Green is directly related to nature, so you can use it to promote 'green' products.

Dull, darker green is commonly associated with money, the financial world, banking, and Wall Street.

Dark green is associated with ambition, greed, and jealousy.
Yellow-green can indicate sickness, cowardice, discord, and jealousy.
Aqua is associated with emotional healing and protection.
Olive green is the traditional color of peace.

GO GREEN GO!!!! I'm getting excited! LOL

KeyNote: Project GO to Extreme Limits

Is it July as yet?

CRAP!

Okay, how is your summer heating up,, do you have lots of photos already?

Because I do, just Sunday I took 41 shots watching my dsd and dh play softball and everyone one is a keeper, I'm feeling ambitious and I want to scrap all of them.

so my goal is to push my creativity to the limit and do some multiphoto layouts, simple, clean and meaningful

is anyone game?

and because I'm loving my summertime outdoor photos, we are going GREEN, because........well, just cause, lol

Lets have fun, go search your hard drive, pull out those photos, reach for some green cardstock or pattern paper with a little green in it, I want to see some embellishments, fun journalling, some funky titles and lots of happy faces.

and I will post a prize,,, yes,, because I'm feeling a little generous,, more details to follow

Let's GO
Ladies,

Think Green

When I think Green, I think "calm" or "nature". It's just one of those colors that leaves you in the mellowest of moods. It's my daughter's favorite color (oddly, not pink!) As for me, I just long to see green after all the snow has melted! I love working with green, and have done a few layouts with them:One of my favorite layouts in my Hawaii Album, is this "Green Layout". Hawaii is a place of rest and relaxation, green is the perfect color.

And using Doodle Bugs Paper frills and Making Memories Vintage Chipboard Buttons and my new favorite green, Chartreuse by Making Memories! (In fact, this entire paint collection, is YUMMY!)

Coming soon!

Hey guys
Just thought I will let you know that our new color for July is GREEN, I will get the keynote and new banner up as soon as I get some time, this week my family is arriving from Trinidad, so its a little hectic on my end.
However,, if you have some layouts with green or words, or inspirations, feel free to do your thing.
I got a cool layout in mind,,, can you say multi photo layouts, which is the focus for this month,, MISSION: GO TO EXTREME LIMITS,,, get as much done on your layouts as humanly possible

Can you do deal?
